Winter months are cold and harsh. The best place to stay warm is your house. Here are some tips to keep your house warm during the bitter cold.

-Have a contractor check out your roof before winter begins. The structure will need to hold snow.

-Learn how to shut off water valves…incase a pipe was to burst.

-Have your chimneys cleaned yearly.

-Clear rain gutters.

-Make sure all fuel-burning equipment is vented to the outside and kept clear.

-Always have a few spare blankets.

-Before winter even begins make sure all house windows are locked. Drafts can occur when they are not locked.

-Area rugs are good to put down on hardwood and tile floors to keep some warmth.
